Deflecting hostile questions

When hit with a tough, hostile question, divide your answer in two.

e.g. Question : “Why has your organization done nothing about this problem ?”

       Answer: “Quite the opposite. In fact, we’ve made significant progress…”

• Don’t respond with hostility !
• Be calm, polite and firm.
• Don’t lose your cool. If the question has a “loaded”, negative premise, politely challenge the premise and move to a positive statement.
